Repairs & Changing Views

Our cruising season
is winding down for this year,
and that means many boats head north
for a last sail up into the Sea of Cortez
to their favorite islands
or across the Sea
to haul out perhaps at San Carlos on the
mainland side.
 Suddenly our Dock 3
is looking downright barren.

That means the dock is much less congested
and available for those projects that require more
room to spread out.....
like dinghy repair!!
The work in progress....

New paint on the dinghy,
 newly refinished dinghy sole.
Voila!!
Beeeeooooteeful!!!!
Lookin' good, Captain...!
And you do nice work, too!
Protecting and storing sails when not being used
is important  in sailing.

Sea Story looks especially sharp
with her new stack pack sail cover.

It has a zipper running lengthwise on the top
to open and close the sail pack.
Lazy jacks help guide the sail neatly
out of the pack as we hoist the sail up the mast.
Lowering the sail is equally easy as the sail
neatly flakes itself back and forth as it returns to the sail pack.
We simply zip it closed and sails are protected.
Nifty, huh?

St. Patrick's Day in La Paz
brings 'the wearin' of the green'
at Club Cruceros party...

And what's a blog posting from Baja
without the requisite Baja sunset....
Last Friday evening from the deck of SEA STORY.
LOVELY!!

Preparations are underway for once again
leaving SEA STORY here at Palmira Marina.
We will begin our drive north in a couple of weeks
to the green, green grass of the farm
and our summer routine.

I hope all is well in your world....
Life is wonderful here!
'Til next time....
ML
